Aircon Install 167R 3L Diesel

Postby joshua.bairstow on Mon, 25 Nov 2013 8:00 +0000

Hey guys,

I've decided to go ahead with an aircon install in my 2001 dual cab. I have a brand new condenser and compressor with all other parts 2nd hand from a wreckers which seem to be in good condition. I'm struggling to find the mounting point on the block for the compressor mount and can't manage to find anything on the internet - photos/info/etc. I was wondering if someone on here would be able to help me. I just want to get the compressor mounted so I can save myself a bit of money for the rest of the fitting and gassing. All help would be greatly appreciated - photos, other links that I may not have come across...... go nuts.

Thanks

Josh.

I fitted air con to a 167 a few years ago, I got a ute the same and parked beside me, helped me sus out what brackets I was missing and anything else I wasn't sure on. I've since sold the ute so can't be of much help. Toyota might be able to print off a parts diagram for you, generally shows a lot of how it goes together.
