Has any one heard anything about the JDM chip or is running one? http://www.jdmperformancechip.com They are only $199 form the states

it doesnt say anything on what it adjusts. i would not trust this. just remember
cheap and fast wont be reliable

Had a look at their website and it's quoting 50% gain and a one size fits all plus it's able to "re-map".

I would be concerned with this statement as it takes hours of Dyno work for each Vehicle model to get right.

I assume you are running the 1GR-FE V6?

If you still want to go ahead the device is only $200 so I would go to an independent Dyno shop with a Dyno Dinamics Dyno and do a before and after run.

Tell them you want to ensure Fuel A/F and timing are within tolerance and also to check for detonation.

Then also compare before and after KW/NW on the Dyno in shoutout mode.

I hope you can prove us wrong and this device works - but I suspect it will be like the "Sprintbooster" and just simply increase Acc throttle response speed tricking the customer into thinking the engine is making more HP.

Your Dyno runs should only cost around $300-$400 and is cheap insurance against a blown engine!
