Further to my problem,

Took it to my mechanic and he said there were two codes showing.

P0102 mass air flow sensor circiut low
P0113 intake air temp circuit high input

I have cleaned the MAF and replaced the air filter and thought it may be ok but yesterday it went into limp again

Does anyone have any idea what these codes could mean? Any ideas would be great as i dont want to take it to the dealer and let them just start replacing things willy nilly until im broke.

Cheers russ

I'd be hitting x force up for a replacement mate, if it's causing engine codes it's not " fit for purpose"

Have you tried that hi flow filter yet or a K&N filter?
Also check if ur snorkel is blocked internally, my mates 04 was running really weird after a 4x4 up the bush. turns out when i sprayed a rooster tail up his bonnet got mud/slop in snorkel and the shitty scrub hitting the snorkle and sucking in shit clogged the passage partially

They are available for a good price. So I'm interested.

Hows yours srd4d?

Thanks

Ok so ive just had a brand new turbo fitted by united diesel in redcliffe wa. $3200 so i save about $800 bucks from not going to the dealer.

Cars running great! Power everywhere and no limp modes. In the end it was going into limp mode 2 or 3 times a day, They dyno'd it before i picked it up and it was perfect.

There is also a prado in here that has had a new turbo but is now throwing stepper motor controller codes, apparently there is a controller between the computor and stepper motor, the guys here or at toyota didnt know about i till this code popped up.

The guys here had 3 genuine turbos in stock and say that they are doing quite a few of them now for no other reason than a stuffed stepper motor,

Could have thought of a lot better things to spend 3 grand on. Thanks Toyota.

When i see the exhaust thematik here.

I have a 2,5 l diesel xtra cab 2012 built. I removed the exhaust all the way to under the cab. The cat is still on the pipe. I am planning of changing it all to a 2,5 `or 3,0 ´straight pipe. I will weld it up myself with stainless steel. The flunch will be made by a buddy of mine.

Any experience, any suggestions ??

Oh the cat will be removed of course
