I think he said it will cost $485 with the 50% discount on the part. It is booked in for tomorrow.

The dealer also replaced the hydraulic timeing belt tensioner as they said that it was leaking as well. That added another $110 to the bill.

well mine has gotten to the stage where I need the water pump replaced as it is leaking a reasonable amount. I need to top up the resiviour every few weeks. Lucky for me that when I bought the car I purchased a warrenty with AWN aswell for an extra $400. So I've got it booked in for wednesday to get fixed :) should be a free fix (apart from the initial $400). They also cover my clutch which is starting to get a bit sloppy but I shall get that done on another day.

just make sure they replace it with a new genuine one and not a reco, got a sneaking suspicion that's what i got

Mine started leaking at 120 000, 2 weeks ago on 06 sr extra cab super work ute. My mechanic used a genuine pump because he herd the non gen pumps crack. Sounds like a common problem
