In europe (now belgium and netherlands) have a particle counter that will count particles in exhaust fumes while stationairy. Limit is set to 1.000.000.
The assumption is that with a working DPF you'll always be below that number.
A friend of mine gets between 2.000.000 and 5.000.000 every attempt.
My APK (yearly health check for road approval) is valid till december so I've for 11 months to get this sorted. My mate however had only 3 days...
I did a voluntary testrun and also scored 2.000.000
We've tried everything:
MAP / MAF / Fuel Filter / Diesel Filter / Gass To Liquid fuel / DPF cleaners etc.
I know this is likely no issue for the majority of the forum visitors, but if there are any bright minds to think along.... more than welcome.
Replacement of the DPF is costly (2.000 EUR ~ 2.200 USD) and is not always helping (as we've received from the Belgium friends that work with this system for 6 months now.
The questions:
- Does anyone have a good idea on seriously dropping exhaust particles at stationary
- Does anyone have god-like DPF skills and is willing to help out with ideas on how to diagnose the DPF filter.
