What is the best airbox source for price and functionality ?

There are people selling 3" airbox kits for anywhere from $ 90 up to $ 1900

With fuel prices lately i am guessing an airbox could save 2 - 4 % fuel consumption ?

The first thing I hack on my race bikes was the air flow, but I have never thought about doing it on the Rolux.

Better air flow and Av. Gas always made a big difference

I always get at least 3 quotes and take the middle one, so if I spent $795 I don't see the return at 3% fuel saving.

Stock one is fine. I dont think the local fab shops have the experience or modelling capability of denso and toyota.

If you are going down that route, try to get on that uses the stock filter and not a pod filter. The flat filters have problems as well - see dusting issues. the round filter has proven to be the best design yet.

You can buy a lot of fuel for $119. at least 50 litres in some place
