I think what you have there is normal, yes clean it while you got the chance and fit the plate but i wouldnt worry about it.
There are 10s of thousands of standard engines out there running without a problem.
There was a few mechanics in this forum making a living out of scaring members, there was one that tried to convince members what was happening but got shouted down.
Just resist the urge to put a chip on it.
Yeah it was not a huge amount buildup but i know it is big flow reduktion and smaller hole, quicker buildup i suppose.
