Never looked in the induction system but i assume there would have been a build up but it still runs fine.
I think what you have there is normal, yes clean it while you got the chance and fit the plate but i wouldnt worry about it.
There are 10s of thousands of standard engines out there running without a problem.
There was a few mechanics in this forum making a living out of scaring members, there was one that tried to convince members what was happening but got shouted down.
Just resist the urge to put a chip on it.
Yeah, one like that method too. Knowledge is nice to get but often I find myself more confused after because of all options, I don’t like many options!

Yeah it was not a huge amount buildup but i know it is big flow reduktion and smaller hole, quicker buildup i suppose.

In sweden we call that ”dålig stil” (bad style)

No worries, i did not buy a ute to dragrace [emoji16]
I bought a Toyota for reliability and access to info and parts, not going to risk it for some extra hp.
I would buy a dirtbike or simular if I wanna rev something,

Pumps, new timing belt, tensioner, altenator, turbo in place

I set both engines in neutral position then moved the pumps over, is there something more i should have done?

Mr brother... thought he was going to break the turbo.. he is not so good with patience. Turned out ok. Son of a bitch to remount, I must have done everything in the wrong order!

Finally, do i need that grey liquid gasket anywhere? Going to reuse one gasket where the blanking plate is going

How did the flange get munched up?
Nice work fixing it up.
A small smear of gasket rtv will fill in the remaining imperfections

Is there a pump in the tank wich i can put 12v on to help bleed the fuel or is it enough with the manual pump?

Yes locktite 5922 should do the trick? [emoji4]

Its just the pump on the engine. You can prime it via the filter though.
I might be wrong.

Hello everyone.

I finally got it together a couple of weeks ago and it feels good!

Gonna comply some short info, step by step what to do when replacing engine.

Unfortunately it throws p0400 code, sometimes it shudders/twitch kind of when on light load.
Ive checked vacuum lines, connections and for leaks, it looks like the intercooler is cracked on turbo side. There is a squeeling sound that imply that

Or is it the 7mm plate who’s the culprit? But i dont think so, you all says it works and i trust you [emoji41]
