EGR intake path.

hey guys,
I know EGR block off etc is covered time and time again.
I want to block off the egr but rather than a chip or catch can etc,
has anyone tried or heard of feeding the EGR inlet with air from clean side of air filter either before or after the air sensor?
I want to try this but hoping someone may have already have an answer.
my thoughts are that the EGR sensor will still be tricked into thinking theres exhaust gas entering the valve but it will just be clean air from somewhere?
cheers for any tips.

I wanted to try this aswell a while back. I'm pretty sure someone has tried this but had trouble with the computer seeing the wrong air temperature. I could be wrong tho, maybe someone figured it out.
