Hi guys about a week ago driving along in my 05 Vigo, 1kd everything was fine never missed a beat was just about to click over to 300k mind you

Anyway cruising at about 100 in 5 th gear a roo jumped
Out on me slammed on the brakes but in my haste
Forgot to push the clutch in decelerated to about 60 in 5th
Then went to the correct gear
Anyways missed the roo then went to take off again
Had no power then stalled which it's never done
So started back up then accelerated then yeah a real bad knock suspecting cracked piston

Im in country NSW and was at night freezing cold
Had no reception
So continued cautiously then about 30 seconds later oil light started flickering
I thought yeah this is bad pulled over as I made it to reception ,luckily
Rang the missus to come and get me
Then went to start up again don't know why I knew I was leaving it till the morning till I could get a tow
But yeah went to start it nothing wouldnt turn over was seized

Now my question is I'd like to buy a rebuilt long engine but all the accessories on mine are getting old
And not that cashed up at the moment
Just thinking of getting a second hand engine lowest ks that I can find and keep mine as a spare
But mine is a non water-cooled type egr
And I've been looking around seem pretty rare?

Would it be possible to change my 05 to a water-cooled egr .
Or put my egr stuff on it ?
Just that all the ones out there are water cooled
Any help guys would be so much appreciated
