Gday all,
I have the error codes below coming up on my 2012 d4d there is also a whine from the turbo that’s never been there, has anyone had this or knows what’s going on? We’re thinking it’s the turbo actulator.

Mine gets this code occasionally, on mine it's because of the tune I think, it's looking for more boost that it can make in certain scenarios and the vane motor drives to the stopper but the tune wants more so it faults. Also had it happen when I had a split in the map filter vac line. Check your vac lines then check your grub screw on the turbo try winding it in a few turns and see if it makes a difference.
I'm Guessing you've cycled the ignition already and watched the solenoid to check its running through its motions?
You can also try pulling the solinoid arm off the vane rod bit and check the turbo vanes aren't jamming up. If they sticky you'll also get this fault.

I also got this code from carbon build up causing causing the vanes to get jammed at each end of the stroke...
Probably could of just cleaned the turbo but just bolted a new unit on...
