Adjusting Valve clearences need help

Postby ozziehunter on Mon, 10 Sep 2018 4:29 +0000

I have a kun26 2008 hilux with severe blow by caused by a leaking injector seat ( I hope). I have just checked the valve clearences and 3 inlet valves are at .15 so the buckets are going to need replacing. Has anyone got a quick guide of how to do it. I've got the manual and it looks pretty straight forward but theres always a trick here and there. Any help would be great guys

Cheers

I think boxhead wrote something on this a few years ago - perhaps try a search.

Most of the info is here but I remember seeing a Toyota table somewhere that estimates the bucket required from the measurements:

More info here:

You might need to do a google search outside this forum for the table
edit: this might be it but I cant see it on my system https://www.scribd.com/document/3251096 ... nce-1KDFTV
