V6 auto issues

Hey guys got an 07 4.0 auto. Seems to be lacking power when I'm down the beach.
I always put it in low unless it's really hard surface. If i put my foot down it seems to stutter and struggle for a bit then eventually picks up.
If i put it in neutral and rev it I can hear a release of air before the revs.
Any ideas?

Not sure, but definitely something wrong. Do you have a Toyota service nearby?

Engine isn't idling too low is it?

I'd find a reputable auto trans specialist, toyota service tend to be manned by monkeys unless you can get through to the rare experts

No doesnt idle too low. It's been to heaps of mechanics and they reckon nothing wrong.
Definitely not right and I'm ready to trade it in

What makes you think the issue is with the Auto? You mentioned in Neutral you detected issues too? (i don't really understand what a release of air means)

So far it sounds like the engine / transmission is hesitating when you put power down, which i occasionally detect in mine when she's cold (first minute or two of driving) but have never pursued.

Try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes, which will force motor into re-learning mode.

Also cleaned your MAF sensor lately? Anything obstructing airflow into engine?

NFI , I'm no mechanic.

How many kM? It has to be a fuel or spark issue which may be a dirty MAF but could be a sensor. Hence why I suggested a dealer to get diagnostics done.
If you trade it what on? You’ll be disappointed with anything else power wise.

The galleries in the valve body might have a build up of gunk in them (yes, that's the technical term), when was the auto last serviced/ flushed?
