Oz Bush Electronics module and egr block

Postby cooganstein on Sun, 04 Jun 2017 2:30 +0000

Hi,
Did the egr clean out on my 2007 with 130,000k about a fortnight ago. I was indeed surprised with the build up. I plan on keeping my vehicle for a while to come yet and don't want to do that job ever again.
There was mention of this module on about pg55 on the egr thread I came across and decided to give it a go. I fitted it today.it was all very straight forward to fit with excellent instruction provided. In the future I will update this thread with my thoughts for anyone interested.

Ok, so one day in and every thing is good. Only Done about 30km so far with module and fully blanked off egr but no check engine light.
The setting is on +10 atm. Power wise I couldn't say for sure what gains there are as I don't feed it till it's warmed up then traffic didn't allow me a decent chance in my short trip to work.
Two things I would note though is possibly a little more turbo whistle with the window down. And the other thing I found was the egt's were down on driving speed and cool down time. Normally I cool it to 200c before shutdown and it got there noticeably quicker. It was raining today but I haven't seen that effect it much before (rains in cairns a lot). I'll be keeping an eye on that one.
Thought that was strange as I thought the egr system was meant to keep combustion temps down.
Btw pyro is about 30mm post turbo.

Hey Cooganstein,
It's been almost a year...can you provide any feedback on Ozbush unit?
Cheers

Hey mate I have had mine in for a week now with the full blank and bypass the egr cooler aswell.
No problems so far and the the engine is a lot smoother. No codes either.
Check out my build thread and “gold member” aswell, he has had his in longer than me and no dramas yet either!

So I have done roughly 1700kms with the Ozbush mapper installed, this includes towing my 1.7t camper in 32+ degree temperatures. no issues to report and never thrown a check engine light, Very happy with it. EGR completely blanked and coolant hoses re routed so the EGR is now completely bypassed.
