Next hurdle, torque up the camshaft sprocket retaining bolt.

Didn't thread lock it, torqued by hand to around Toyota's recommend 98nm with torque wrench.

Yep, you can't beat the old rattle gun. If you haven't got a rattle gun, just tighten the camshaft bolt as tight as you can without moving the pulley off the timing mark. Install the timing assembly, belt and all.
Then do this.

Use a good quality torque wrench and torque to the specification, 98Nms. Note, that is not a good quality torque wrench. It's a cheapie and is used as a breaker bar. Warren and Brown beam wrench will do the job.

Hi all, old thread but a goodie. Just picked up a 16100-69357 wp and the parts guys gave me lots of grief. “It won’t fit your Hilux, it’s for a Prado” and I asked the difference but he had no idea. The one he first gave me looked a bit sus, single piece and in a dodgy looking Lexus box... Thanks members for all the info, looking forward to doing the water pump, timing belt and accessories in the next couple of weeks.
