Is it possible to read from techstream if a hilux ECU is cruisecontrol prepared?

I've got a non cruise control version and cruisecontrol will be build in. At the moment a toyota stick + controller is ordered, I'm curious if I can predict whether or not that will work....

Hi all. This data is from yesterday at operating temp. I watched the feedback vales from cold and the worst I saw was cylinder 4 hit 1.2 mm2. Still well within spec right?
Car has 135k on it now. Engine seems fine other than the usual rattles and tinkling noises these things seem to make. Noticed a bit of smoke on hard accelerations lately but not often and maybe only before engine his normal operating temp.
Any input would be much appreciated.

135k it would like a fresh set of injectors.
Also an egr flow reduction plate 7mm.
Injection volume is showing wear.
Please be advised you cannot avoid wear in these, you can reduce or Increase, but about 120k / 5 years or so.
The feedback values don't always show the wear, i find about 1 in 10 will "look" ok.
So checking is great till 120k.

Cheers,

Anth.

Thanks mate. This is a 2010 vehicle. I thought these injectors were supposed to last longer?

Yeah 6 years that's pretty good.
Supposed to last longer by who?
The newer ones may last longer, will know more for sure in years to come.

Unfortunately, the 23670-39365 Toyota number injectors, the spindle valve is not coated and gets cut to pieces. The wear factor is quite high on these injectors.

Image

When you buy the new ones, they will be coated. The coating happened after 2013/2014 models, I think. Matt or Anthony will be able to clarify those days.

Hi Guys & Gals,

I have a 2008 KUN26R with a 1KD-FTV.. it has 105k on the clock.. I purchased it with 82k on it and I don't believe from the damage I have found and the wear its go that the K's are true.. I am blowing black smoke under load and getting only 400-550 out of a tank.. it has plenty of power but any loading up of the motor eg reverse and its got nothing if I was to put the boot in in a low gear I could disappear in my own black smoke screen.. I was told by Berima Diesel to bring it in for a check which was going to cost me $800-1200 plus parts if required.. I have run techstream and come up with this data but can't workout whats good bad or indifferent from reading the other posts..

Hi there

I have a 2008 hilux with 142000km on it with a 1KD-FTV. Purchased it with 48000k on it so I guess the injectors are from new.
I got Toyota to give me the data on the injectors at the 140k service, and after reading through this thread and forum my injectors are on the way out and have to be changed in the not to distant future (only the #4 just out of spec). Engine still sounds good no real knocking sounds or black smoke yet.
I'm keen to know and if anyone can help me how much longer my injectors could last, what's a good brand (I've heard good reviews on Baileys) and what else is good to change, clean, code etc while injectors are being changed? Located in Darwin.
Many thanks in advance, here's the data.

The guy with the black smoke. More than likely, the fouling of the EGR system is your problem.

They are just past 120,000k where they go out, due to wear, just the usual Klm's really.
So right on time they are due for replacement now.
Get the job done by a professional & clean egr & put 7mm egr flow reduction plate.
