Any ideas - Engine Missing & Engine Light

Postby doubleshot on Tue, 08 Jan 2013 4:25 +0000

Towing my boat home last night we came into a town and slowed down for an intersection, resuming acceleration it started missing, only running on 2 cylinders, i limped into a car park andtried reving it without a load then turned the motor off and got out and had a look under the bonnet, gave the vmn a bit of wiggle and made sure nothing had come loose.everything seemed to be secure, started motor and she was running on all 4 again although the engine management light was on, everything sounded sweet norattles or odd noises so we drove another 120kms home and it never missed a beat, could this be crook injectors or something a miss with the vmn? :(

I think maybe just a loose connection, engine light should go off after several starts. Or disconnect battery and let it sit for a sec. If it doesnt then use a scangauge or OBD reader to see error code.
