Also, put it this way, if you cut out your muffler, dont like the sound, you can just get the X-force anyway and you won't be any more out of pocket.

how is the x force for rusting? Its listed as mild steel so i guess its just painted finish? Would you guys go the x force next time round? Also how is the tail section does it sweep down toward ground much? I have ARB rear bar. Cheers.

Mine is stainless and it's holding up well. It tucks up nicely with standard rear bar.
Muffler is a bit droney I wouldn't mind getting rid of it for some more turbo noise

Alfy the x force is a great system. Got mine 3 years ago in mild steel and still in great shape with no rust. It's very well made fits perfectly and as griffo said it tucks up nicely. As for the tail section it does sweep down, i've got the mcc rear jack bar and it clears it easy.

Great thread I'm looking at either the XForce or the redBack for a 2013 model. Open to recommendations

i got the x force mild steel turbo back kit off ebay with a high flow cat, works a treat not as loud as i had hoped for BUT it does sort of wear in and get a little louder and to be honest, if it was any less muffled/louder it would end up droning hard on the freeway which shits me cause its my daily lol... if you wanted more sound you could just fab up a 3" pipe with 2 flanges and a slight bend and unbolt the muffler and bolt in the straight pipe anyhow... i recon its excellent value for money for a complete aftermarket exhaust for the D4D

i've had xforce exhausts on my previous cars, i've found with xforce they are generally one of the best bang for buck exhaust systems. sure there are nicer units out there, but for the price they can't be beat.

just wondering, since they dont have the egr hole, what are you guys doing? just leaving it unplugged for are you guys fabricating a plug for it?

Increasing boost pressure, less bends, less length and a straight through muffler to take out the drone of a straight pipe.

Perhaps get an ECU reflash?

Wats a ecu reflash and the exhaust is pretty much straight threw and I'm thinking of running a tank of fuel see if it gets louder if not maybe remove muffler and put a hot dog instead maybe

Re-programs (Deletes old program, installs new) the ECU to recognise the exhaust and any other engine modifican that has been fitted.

Thought I would throw my 2c in.. It's a nice system; cheap, easy to install and sounds decent. There are some minor drawbacks though. I had to trim mine a reasonable amount and add a 45° bend for it to clear an ARB rear bar. Also, about a year after installing it, the dump pipe cracked right around the weld at the turbo flange. Not a difficult repair, but annoying nonetheless.
