I like this option - at least then you know for a fact the gearbox is rooted :D

engine vibration 1700-1900rpm

Postby jiggins on Sat, 21 Sep 2013 5:31 +0000

I had the gearbox out only 3 weeks ago as it spat 3rd and 4th when my diff let go all bearing and seal where replaced on the gearbox along with the diff's when being fixed.

I've now spent the better part of $5000 in the last 6 weeks rebuilding the rear diff, gearbox and putting a new clutch in.

I did read somewhere Toyota has a 6 degree tolerance between cv joints. Is this tolerance between diff and gearbox or does it include the centre cv joint

anyone figure out what it is? Changed tranny mount thinking it could of been that, but didn't help. Next step is engine mounts. Just put a 4terrain clutch in and still doing it, even with the stock clutch.

after reading all 46 posts on here its starting to sound like this is a standard operation of the hilux

Solution: install bigger subwoofers and keep at a mid level and than you dont notice the vibration. :D

I'm thinking the same as Ronald, I have the same issue with my lux and have for about the last 30-40 thousand.

I have a stock 2012 SR running stock everything and the only drive line thing that is a little off is I have a bit of driveline backlash.

If anyone would know the answer we all seek that would be nice.

80-100km in 5th

Feel it in the pedals, gear stick, the ute tray vibrating. Reat axle
was bent when l bought it, supposedly been straightened on last service, but still vibrates? I thought sound was from the rear but paasengers all say the front?
Any help please?
