Using a straight 15.9mm barb, install it into the other side of the elbow hose.
Clamp with a suitable hose clamp, in position, as shown.
Install the hose into the other hose barb that comes out of the cylinder head cover.
Note, I always use some silicone grease to lube up the hose so it's easier to push on.
The hose, well, it can be hard to get. You want the specially made Gates hose for emissions.
If you live in Brisbane, go and see Phil down at Pirtek, in Springwood. He can now supply you with everything you need to do this job. The catch can and all.
I have put this up here for two reasons. One, one stop shop, and two, Phil is a good bloke and deserves the business.
Members need to know where they can get supplies to do the job.
Note, you can get hose clamps that don't have a long tags, I just haven't been able to buy them, at the time of doing this job.
Take out the harness connector, a plastic tag, and drill a 11mm hole in this position, for the M8 nutsert.
Nutsert machine.
In Brisbane, you can buy this tool from Tool City, in a kit form.
When you have got one, you will find heaps of uses for them.
Insert an M8 nutsert into the machine and install it into the hole. Make sure you always clamp the nutserts tight.
They are a bugger to get out, if you clamp them loose.
Put some of this stuff into the nutsert, with the bolt. Just work it in.
Now install the catch can in position, making sure the bonnet isn't going to touch the catch can.
Note, there is not much room in this position, so just make sure you get this right. You can place a bit of blue tack on the highest point. If it sticks to the bonnet, you know your position needs to come down at the front position.
The Roo.
