Cheers guys. I did clean the MAF and EGR a while ago.ill have to search for the restrict or plate and catch can.
New injectors and valve adjust booked in for Friday .
Sounds crazy but the car has been running like a slug , I'm excited at the possibility of having the car back to running at a stock standard level.

Hey guys

I did my 160k service over the weekend & also plugged in Techstream to check injector values.

First test was on cold start:
Vol FB 0.9
1 -0.4
2 -0.4
3 -0.2
4 +0.3

Took it for a run to get temps up. Parked it and let it idle for a few minutes while testing again:
Vol FB 0.9
1 +1.7
2 -1.1
3 -0.7
4 -0.2

These results were quite different from my last test about a year ago. So after turning it off for a few minutes & then starting & idling again I got this:
1 -0.2
2 -0.5
3 -0.4
4 +0.6

This is quite different to the results above when warm. How do I know which is correct & why am I getting such varied results when both tests were done with the engine warm & idling? I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong?

Hi Everyone
I had new injectors and fuel lines fitted on friday . Two of the injectors were covered in carbon one had a new type of seal which kept it clean. I changed out the oil and heres the result after approx 1/2 hour run to work on monday.
She is driving great
Does Inj #3 look out of place ?

I am running Techstream via VMPlayer and Windows XP as my laptop is 64bit Windows 8.1. I can get my readings up on the screen but don't seem to be able to save the figures to anywhere. How are you guys recording your numbers (hopefully not pencil and paper).

This was some help for me in Win7 64-bit. Got it to recognise the cable but it still wouldn't communicate with the ecu.

I've since given up and just run Windows XP in Virtual Box. (simplest and easiest solution)

I used the instructions Brewer linked to only last friday to connect my 64 bit win 8.1 laptop to my ute .A bit of messing around but no problems now.

hi all just got tech stream loaded
looks great just awaiting cable to come
i got v10 version which i hope works for 64 bit system i have seen in the background programming that the function to customize has been turned off for australia, has anyone tried going into the registry and changing then0 to 1 and seeing if will allow that function or is it that hilux does not have that ability?ecu??

scroll down to AU
and customize all is off shown as 0

They both look fine to me.

It's always more difficult when your reading a couple of stat shots, I prefer to do a full diagnostic myself, but they do look fine.

I recommend changing them out every 5 years or 120k, keep them fresh. Thats if they make it & usually they do.
New DENSO Injectors are the go! New genuine parts.

I have recently cleaned the EGR which wasnt very dirty .This data set was taken "cold" before the vehicle had been started after being left overnight.
