'07 D 5Man Maximum Power 126kW @ 3600rpm?

General discussion of basically anything Hilux related

From Toyota Ozzie site. Does this mean that my Mar '06 D man5 does 126kW @ 3600rpm instead of 120kW @ 3400? Or has Toyota fine tuned the Hilux '07?

What the $%&# is Toyota up to? Trying to best the Triton! What am I missing? Or am I missing something . . or "Ya don't get it Jacq!"!!!! :( :(

The above info came from: -

at a guess the 07 probably does 120kw @ 3400 rpm aswell. if u followed the curve, and if they bothered the 06 would have continued on the curve till 126kw @ 3600rpm, but there was no vehicle last year that perhap's gave those figures a run, and they have kept a few 100rpm and kw, under there belt so it can match new models without any redisgn?

only guess but =}

I think they have done updates to the Hilux. I have an 2005 Model SR5 Dual Cab T/D and in the brochure I have there was no mention of force limiting seat belts. But on the website now, the SR5 comes standard with them.
Just like the passenger side cup holder, I think they have added a few things here and there along the way. As well as changing what colours they come in.

Toyota rarely change mechanically the design, they mass produce these vehciles in huge numbers. I've noticed on the '07 SR5 that the rear bars have been removed from the tray, what have you guys noticed on the '07 update that has changed,,,

Hi all,
Post production Aug 2006 (Series 2) Standard 126kw, Fog lights, Delete rear hoop bar, Cup holder (p/s),

The 126kw came from modifacations to the exhuast to comply with Euro 4 emisions.

Somewhere along the line head rests x3 in the rear became standard in SR5's as I was talking to another member and he did not get them, or may have only got two. (Eric?).

Just my obsevations.

Regards,
