I seen a Hilux with a 2" body lift yesterday and spoke to him and the person who istalled it today. Issues seem to be if you have a an ARB bullbar like me they cannot lift it due to the airbags, and another issue is the steering rake extention seems to be a boge job with a wack with a hammer to bend down. anyone jumped over the problems?

Bugger I was considering it but always when you have bar work, it's never the same when you give some body lift into the vehicle. Did you make him aware of this site? 8-)

I did tell him about this site but he does not have the internet.
I spoke to a guy who's about to do my sliders etc about the body lift which he does all the time he would'nt do it unless an engineer approves it because of the airbags. The sensors for the airbag are on the body behind the headlights, he has a couple of engineers he uses so he'll contact them to see what they say, same goes with the ARB bull bar, it may be possible but I'm not confidant about the bullbar being able to be raised.

The ARB airbag compliant bull bar has some crumple zones built in to the mounts.. you can see them when youget under the front... you will notice the there are a total of four sides to the mount and three of them are strategicly bent whilst one is straight...the one on the inside... this will allow the winch to pull you forward, but will still crumble in a frontal hit... Now, if you were to raise the bar you would have to ensure that this crumple zone was not altered... sorry to ramble on... LOL Cheers TOMUCH

To updated, I have had two engineers not willing to pass a body lift due to the airbags.

Is that only because you have the ARB Bar on the front?? Over here in the UK there are a few places that will fit the body lift, i am contemplating whether or not to get one but am waiting for my suspension lift!

Nothing to do with the ARB bar, no one's willing to put their balls on the line due to the air bags. To scared of getting sued for an injury if in an accident and the air bags don't deploy.
