There is no MAF filter (just the main air filter), so assume you are asking about the MAP filter and its probably not a good idea to remove and allow the oil build up in the intake to get to the MAP sensor as its not a cheap replacement item.

The genuine MAP filter is about $30-$40 and only needs changing at around 80,000 km intervals as a preventative maintenance task so pretty cheap option to just leave it in.
(They can be inspected for cracking and if ok washed out to remove the oil residue if you want to not spend money but hardly worth the effort).
