Removed intercooler for engine clean - now down on power

Postby wombat81 on Fri, 10 Dec 2021 3:13 +0000

G'day all. I'm getting my 2010 KUN26 ready for sale. To give the engine a good degrease I took off the intercooler. Since putting it back together it's down on power. Any ideas what I've done?

Thanks

I assume you checked all the vacuum lines and electrical connectors etc?
I might be wrong.

Yeah I did, but now that you mention it, the vacuum line. I'll go do another once over. Thanks.

Yeah, I'd forgotten the vacuum line. I feel like an idiot. Thanks.

Don't feel like an idiot.

It happens to all of us, but take comfort that is all it was, nothing more traumtic/expensive.

Like the time I done my first set of VL Commodore front pads, put them in back to front, stilling grinding!!

I had come from Falcon's where there is a front and back of the pad with a large circular clip on one side, where on the VL, there is a small wire clip on top, so if you are in a rush, it is so easily done to put them in back to front.....
