Tray lengths and chops

Currently running a 2.5m try on the back of my single cab but looking at 1780mm gu comp tray to put on but wasn’t sure on the legal length and engineering involved as it pretty much comes just to the back end of the leaf spring bolts and wasn’t sure if that’s allowed/legal if anyone knows what the legal lengths and limits are please shoot.
