Where is my MAP sensor ?

Postby Brondonnnn on Fri, 26 Nov 2021 10:09 +0000

Hey everyone,

About 8 months ago I got an intake and egr clean done and a dyno tune. Was super happy with the power and economy I was getting but as of late my Hilux (2012 SR5) is starting to feel sluggish i somehow don’t feel it’s a matter of “I’ve got used to it” rather on take off it feels like I’ve lost pickup. Anyway I changed the air filter, cleaned the MAF sensor etc but cannot find my MAP sensor? Hopefully my pics come through.

MAP filter should be on the passenger side under the intercooler
Be sure to check it for hairline cracks while at it

Just follow the hose from the filter, takes you straight to it, but dont try to clean the sensor just the filter.

The sensor is the black plug at the front
The filter is not there and most of the egr is missing .
