Do gen 8 seat covers fit gen 7s?

Hey everyone,

I've got a 2008 xtra cab 4x4 hilux and I'm wanting to protect my seats with some canvas or other hardwearing seat covers. The only ones that I can find online for my specific vehicle are black duck ones which retail over $500!?

All the other ones I can find online at cheaper prices are for 2015 and on. Just wondering if the seats are much different in the later models compared to my 2008, and whether or not later model seat covers would fit mine?
