N70 Hilux side step

Hi all,

I want to put a side step (second hand) on my 2010 Dual cab.

I've found a used 2017 (N80) for $150 - Does anyone know if the N80 will fit on the N70 ?
And if so, is it a good idea ? I have heard the newer ones are maybe not so strong as the older ones ?

Any help appreciated.

You almost sound like you might be asking another question here. Are you gonna be using it as a "Side Step" or as a "Slider"? two different things built and designed for two very different jobs.
