Hey guys,
I have a tray back MY2014 SR with stock steelies which I believe are 17x6. The current wheels are 225/70/17.
Now I've had a quick browse of the forums and I'm wanting to run 265/65/17. I don't believe this should cause any issue as long as I get rims that are 17/7.5. My question is are there stock steel rims that are 17/7.5? Did later model SR's have 17/7.5 steel rims?

Yes and yes. 
Although what you are planning is a standard fitment, you will to add need some flares to be legal with your SR. I just used the narrower of the two Bushranger variants.
