Anyone have Fulcrum's Formula Lift Kit?

Postby supdawk on Tue, 29 Sep 2020 10:06 +0000

Looking at buying a 2 inch lift kit in the next couple months,
Tossing up between Fulcrum's Formula and Phatbars Bilstein Silver kit
If so, how is the ride(on and off road)/build quality & reliability on these as they're more of an "affordable" option?
Open to other lift kit suggestions!

Go talk to Ultimate Suspension in Ingleburn. Many of us here have their kit.
I might be wrong.

2005 SR Hilux 1KD - SOLD
2009 BMW X5 - destroyed by a hail storm
2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 - SOLD
2015 Ford Ranger

I replaced a flogged out iron man lift with a fulcrum set.

Decided to do it all myself, not overly bad of a job just fiddle by yourself especially getting decent jack height (and then stands)

For the rear leafs even tho they are sold as “fulcrum” they are just EFS leafs, so you getting more expensive efs $$$ stuff for $$ price, win win there.

Front coils are kings and the shocks are their own mix, I couldn’t really see a comparable model (eg rebadge). But going from the old Ironman to the new kit gave the car new life.

I did need a 2degree rear castor wedge (HD constant weight rear) to get rid of some driveline vibration, but good now.

Overall very happy for the price, their install prices are ~reasonable as well, but I wanted to give it a crack myself.

I took it in to the actual fulcrum shop to get wheel alignment done, and (even tho had been done a few months earlier by tyre shop) and they found the whole bottom castor adjuster seized and alignment was out something shocking, so was pretty pissed at tyre shop who has been doing an “alignment” and never mentioning anything.
