Driving along then, pop, a moment of no power and then....

Postby GCP310 on Sun, 06 Sep 2020 5:49 +0000

Hi members,

This arvo I was driving along,60kms an hour, not overworking the car, and a pop, like a backfire was experienced,

There was a moment of no power, then all was normal after that, and we continued on our way.

There is no rough idling, it starts like normal, it’s an 1kd auto, so not fast of the mark to start with.

Just perplexed at what we experienced and what I should do next.

I plugged the scan gauge in and there is no errors.

Can deisels backfire??

Thanks for any feedback

From memory they can backfire out the intake often caused by burnt valves.
