Options for 2005 D4D
Posted: Wed, 05 Aug 2020 8:22 +0000Had a lengthy discussion with the techo at the company Chip Tuning based at Seven Hills, NSW regarding options to turn off my non water cooled EGR.
Their cabled module is not compatible with the 2005 model and the solution offered was for me to send them my ECU and they would modify it to turn off the EGR and program it to increase overall smoother performance. Some inference was made that I may see a reduction in fuel consumption.
Has anyone had experience taking this tack and would the $600 asking price be wasted expenditure?
Good or bad responses are all welcome.
