Roof spotlight handle fitting

Fitting it to my 2010 Sr dual cab hilux, in the box it comes with a stick on template
To assist with drilling the 52mm hole and 4 x 6mm bolt holes
Question I have is, how does one decide exactly where on the roof to drill the hole? How
Far back from start of the roof where it meets the windscreen should the hole be and
In the centre?
Just wanted to make sure I do it right. Had me wondering too if there’s anywhere in Sydney
