2010 Hilux Key Programming

Hi All,

I purchased a 2010 single cab Hilux last October and decided I needed a spare which I bought on eBay.

Anyway I found how to program and all is good but cannot program the remote door open/close feature.
I get to the point where it is in program mode but after pressing the lock/unlock button for 2 seconds then release and press the lock button for one second nothing happens. Not keen on paying hundreds of dollars to get the remote part working.

Any positive suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Is the key the same letter as the original key

I gather you're asking if it has a "G" on the key ?
Unfortunately no. This was the discrepancy I had with the eBay seller !!!
They all mentioned to have the "BTH40" or something transponder thou.

Does the 2010 model have the key buzzer for the door open if it does I believe it has to be working to program the key so it has been unplugged or turned off you may need to plug it back in or turn it on the local locksmith here we were only program the key if you buy it off them as he's had too much trouble with ones that people buy overseas and off eBay

I have the same problem, programming the key was piece of cake even with all keys lost with chinese ~$10 Smart Keymaker, the remote is the hard part, bought two TOKAI RIKA remotes from aliexpress, none of them worked. In the mean time I found the original key so I stopped trying.
