Sparesbox.com selling 2nds?

Anyone noticed a high number of damaged items or damaged packages buying from sparesbox.com or via ebay?

I have bought approx dozen items over the years an always had packages turn up that wouldnt be put on the shelf at a wholesaler / auto store.

Lately ive been getting damaged items as well as damaged packaging.

Starting to think they are a 2nds seller or outlet store for damaged items that arent fit for retail.

Frustrating as it appears it is there business model to offload damaged or 2nds from day one, not new quality goods.

Annoying as the damaged items take 10 working days to turn up, another 10 to get back then another 10 for them to initiate refund. Really sucks. If your unlucky its another few weeks if they decide to replace!

Not specific but my experiences are OEX, Narva and Redarc.

Never actually used Sparesbox, but that would explain the pricing.

Ebay is another matter, their store rating is critical, so if they are selling seconds without declaring it, you can give negative feedback and that effects their sales, so they try harder to please than a regular retail store.

I bought a gates drive belt from them that was in no way damaged tho cant speak for any other product

Recently bought an idc25, auto reset circuit breakers and some cable lugs from them. Only issue was the cable lugs wernt as described (short shank with no flared end were sent), all seemed in good nick though
