ARB canopy fitment

Hello all. I was lucky enough to pick up a free ARB canopy that just needed the rear glass to be replaced. I have done that and now ready to fit the canopy. My question is, where the rear glass over laps the tailgate (with liner), should the glass curve to the profile of the tailgate so that the seal contacts along the full length? Pics would be hugely appreciated.

The rubber seal should compress to match the curve, I can't offer pictures because my canopy is leaning against the shed wall, and my dog plays with my tub liner in the yard (was too slippery so I took it out, and I didn't want a canopy on).
