Has anyone worked out a way to protect the exposed rear diff wiring loom when driving off road (esp on loose rocky surfaces when stones are flying around)?
There is a small factory plate fixed to the diff which appears designed to do this, but it's not up to the job as I found on the Gary Junction Road last year. The plate and the wiring went AWOL and I lost the ABS, traction control, rear diff lock and cruise control for the next few thousand km.
You'd think Toyota would come up with a better method of protecting such a vulnerable component on a vehicle designed for off-road use.
Cheers
