Rear trim removal on a extra cab

Postby Woglux on Sat, 12 Jan 2019 3:11 +0000

Hi guys, I just bought a 2012 hilux extra cab,its my first hilux I've owned, so it's all new to me.
I want to install rear speakers I've searched the forum and found out how to do almost everything from taking the head unit out to wiring the rear speakers, however I cant seem to find how to remove the rear trim to mount the speakers, I've had a bit of a fiddle and found it to clip out near the rear seat but around the door seems to be a bit hard, and I do not want to force it and break anything. So any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

So what kind of speakers are you installing? I’m pretty happy with my fronts but need some bottom end. Thinking about 6.5 subs in the rear spots. 6w3v3 look good and would be a good match for my amp.
