I just unaligned my bonnet arghh

I put two gas struts under my bonnet (2012 SR) to make it easier to lift etc.

When I finished, there was a gap/rise on the passenger side and guard, closer to windscreen, where I could put my finger through.

Drivers side perfect. I undid both tried again and again and again, pushed the brackets high, low. In the end I took them out and still a gap.

After sometime with the struts out I managed to reduce the gap to half a finger.

Ive searched google and couldn't seem to find anything useful on aligning the bonnet.

Anyone can help me? Or easier to go to panel shop and ask them to sort it out?

Are your struts fouling on something? I put some in mine and had no issues at all.

did you bend the bracket or something? Ive got gas struts and didnt have an issue. You can line your bolts back up with the marks left in the paint maybe?

When I did my struts I think I did it one bolt at a time so it didnt lose its position.

Thanks lads. I triple checked the strut wasnt hitting anything, maybe I did bend the bracket somehow as when I removed the struts I still had the same issue.

I followed the paint makes driver side but not so clear on passenger side.

I might take it to the local panel beater and ask him to take a look.
