How are you fellow members. I hope you are all well.
It's been some time since I have been on social media. Facebook a bit, but not much.
My wife got sick with cancer, and that's what happened. For the past 12 months, that's been my journey.
All the lies and propaganda spread by people like Marty is just not true.
To do with BDG, Matt Bailey got a bad patch of injector seats from Italy. This got sorted out on Facebook because Matt was given a chance to explain to people what had happened and to do the right thing. This didn't happen, so the truth came out on Facebook. These vehicles are copper based specification for the injector seats (sheets) and BDG had received brass based ones. This was never going to work out, the brassed based injector seats, which it didn't. This caused a lot of vehicles to develop the condition Blow By or lubrication starvation. There was an awareness campaign started on Facebook which some of you might know about. Most people had moved over to Facebook because you can post photos straight to it without a third party. Yes, the Aussie N70 group (Facebook) is pretty disgusting place. That's why I am not a member of it. Well, I don't write any articles there.
To the photos that I posted on here. Photobucket decided that I had to pay money for hosting those photos, and of cause, I said no. I think Photobucket then stopped the photos from being hosted.
To do with Boxhead (RT). I had a lot of respect for Robert but he did lead a movement on the pilot learn procedure which lead to a lot of people having holed pistons. This has been proven and the practice still continues today. The pilot learn procedure is only meant for the installation of new injectors or if a new long engine is installed in the vehicle. Long engines come with new injectors, you see. There was also the bending of injector pipes photos, which I don't agree on. TMC procedure is to remove them from the common rail and that's what should happen. You do not bend injector pipes.
To do with Dave and myself. Well, that's none of anyone else's business, except for Dave and myself. It's worth a mention here as there has been things said about that on other forms of social media. I think Dave and myself are big enough to get over what has happened in between us, and that's that, really.
Any decent questions, fire away. Any stupid questions will be ignored.
If you wish to contact me. Email : pptg@dodo.com.au. Private message me here. Thanks for reading, Talktheroo.

Hi John. You’d left this forum before I joined, but I’ve still learnt so much from your posts.
Thank you, and best wishes for you and your missus.

Welcome back TRR. Sorry to hear about your wife. My sister has been in the same boat in the last 12 months. I don't know much about all the issues you discussed, but I do know that your technical advice on this forum has been invaluable for me and many other members.

Was only thinking of you this arvo John, wondering where you'd got to. Last time we spoke you were about to hit the Tanami and stretch the legs on the old Prado.
Bit of cancer going on here too mate. My mum and one of my best mates are going through breast cancer treatment at the moment. All the best bud!
