4x4 Expos

Postby MattFOX97 on Thu, 22 Mar 2018 5:45 +0000

Hey Guys,

I am planning on heading to the Rosehill 4x4 Expo in late April this year. I’ve heard you get some great deals at these types of expos. I’d be looking at getting a ARB Deluxe bar or Tjm Deluxe bar and a suspension lift kit. What should I be expecting? What type of bargains have you guys got?

Thanks!

The best place to get a deal on ARB gear is the pre-Christmas clear out sales; a few days before the sale they list all the items available at each store and you just have to hope the item you are after is on the list. From my experience ARB and TJM do package deals rather than discounts at the shows. Good luck.

Depends as much on the rep at the show as anything else.

Your speaking of rosehill show so for example. Say you want the work done by TJM in Penrith then best to talk to a rep from that store. Not someone from Newcastle or the gong or Canberra for example. Because most reps will have the pricing for the show set by the management at the show. And some might bend the rules if it’s staying in house. Not all of them will. But you might get lucky.
Also save yourself some time. Go to a couple stores and get quotes beforehand retail. Then take it with you to the show. Makes life easy for the sales rep. And they will be happier to help if you hand something over pre done. And say what’s the best you can do.
Seen this done heaps while I was in the industry.

I just went to the Perth Camping and Caravan Show today where ARB were offering 10% off products; you had to pay a deposit on the day and you only got a discount off the product not the install. But the good part was that you could get the parts and install from any store you wanted, as long as you had paid the deposit on the day the deal would be honoured by all stores. There was no sign of TJM at the show though.

That’s pretty standard 10% off product.
Nobody ever discounts fitting (they are cutting their own throat if they do)
And never heard of anyone discounting paint either.
So see how you go. As I said this is where the fit it yourself people get the best bang for their buck.

Rosehill is manly caravans the last couple of times I went and only ARB was there so they don't have much competition better off going to these stores and making a deal on a bundle for a better prices
