3" dump and pipe, least resistance as possible. Run a straight through glass packed muffler, or not, that's just volume levels and personal choice with zero performance difference between the two.

Thanks Rod for the advice. I'll now research brands of 3 inch systems and put a proposal to the minister for finance and war!

Rocket55 wrote:Just go 3" and be done with it. You know you want to. :D it's very easy to get caught up on forums chasing the very best of the best and the last 1% of performance, economy, lift, technology, etc. pick a quality product, bolt it on and enjoy it. 8-)

See I was leaning toward getting a 2.75" beaudesert from dump pipe back as I have heard really good things about this setup. also heard that 3" without a chip would cause some low down issues if you aren't running a chip.

I am getting rather confused as to what to do as I have learned over time to just spend the coin on quality products (you know the old "pay half price, pay twice" saying)

but on this one I just don't know what to do.

Yep, hearing what you're saying. The way I see, if there's that many mixed messages then there's no clear winner, so as you say, find a quality product and go for it. I had a 3" Humex (Sterling) on mine and it transformed it. Then I put the Seinbauer (which was retuned) in it and it was better again. So for me 3" with no chip worked great and I would do it again.

so even with the 3" you had good low down response? I'm only running 32" tyres and the whole reason for exhaust is I was hoping to just scrape back that little bit of go. Maybe i'm better off just re gearing the diffs to return it back to stock ?

Mine was fine, even with my large 33's and standard gearing I could still turn all 4 of them on rocks etc at 1,200-1,400 rpm no problems

3:10 in this video, plus it sounds shit hot I reckon

Did you put detergent in it? Hate it when the dealership does that and your left with a soapy residue on each side..

Haha, I'll see what I can do. Not sure if my phone camera would provide detailed enough photos.

Painted new but second hand tray "Ironside" colour, swapped sunnies and new Dunlop wranglers(will go on the tandem trailer I am building) over for patrol rims, also painted "Ironside" with another set of wranglers.
If I had a dog that looked like him, I'd shave it's arse and make it walk backwards.
