I’ve recently just whacked on a lengdex straight through pipe (that’s with the bursker, so no muffler) It’s a bit louder. (Yes I was hoping for ‘much louder’ ) Heaps more performance, and if I drive it sensible, not like I stole it  (which is hard to do at the best of times) then it’s better on fuel too. :D All up cost me $1050 delivered. Easy to fit yourself too :D

I looked at my 2 Hilux's today. Thought about cleaning my dual cab, and thought about doing my timing belt, water pump and UHF on my single cab. Decided to go inside and browse through the forum instead, hahah

Recently had Fulcrum Suspension change my sway bar Bush to superpro and install adjustable superpro sway bar links.

My Monster Rides kit was pulling the sway bar in two directions bringing it closer to the rim/wheel causing scrubbing on full lock.
Removed sway bar spacer to correct.

Front feels smoother and doesn’t scrub anymore.

ARB Frontier tank and bash plates. Was a litre disappointed the plates don’t go all the way to the bullbar, radiator is still vulnerable to sticks etc.

Had to replace my aux battery so I did a bit of tidying up at the same time. The ARB clamp had started to corrode so I cleaned it up and painted it. I added some insulation around the aux battery. It's a marine battery so that might help prolong it's life. I find that marine batteries are the best compromise for an aux battery since I need it to run accessories in the cab but also crank in emergencies.

The front holding bracket on the main battery clamp had been an issue for a while. The main battery would always rattle forward and bend the bracket, hence the ratchet strap to hold it in place. I replaced the front bracket with a heavier, stronger one. Hopefully that holds it.

I also put a new rubber mat under the aux battery. The old one had gone brittle and was starting to fall apart.

Replaced the turbo after limp mode and fault codes P0046 and P2564. Turned out the variable vane mechanism had seized solid which is why it was throwing up boost control (stepper motor codes). Got a reco Toyota turbo, fitted my stepper motor and back on the road.

How much did the replacement turbo cost you, if you don't mind me asking?

I found what i assume is the power outlet cable tucked up behind but cant seem to detect 12 volts, fuse has constant power but none at plug, would be handy to use existing cables instead of running new ones. Cables are solid pink and white with black. If anyone has any ideas im open to suggestions ImageImage

Ran 12v to the back of the Prado.

From Aux batt. through a 20A resettable fuse to an Anderson plug, ciggie and dual USB outlets.

Initial run of cable.
Image

Needed a bit of protection, reinforced water hose has its uses.
Image

Test fitting the 3d printed anderson plug/ciggie outlet from ebay, worked well (twin USB outlet on top).

Image

Ready for action, (nil voltage drop from Aux batt. to anderson plug either).
Image

"Hidden" behind the factory cover, until required for use. Still debating cutting a portion of the cover to allow it to remain in place whilst the 12v is being utilised.

Haha sorry guys, just realised I put this into Hilux.net not Pradopoint.

I was about to do my leaky rocker cover and turns out that the oil is coming from the intercooler so I cleaned the leak around the rocker cover and the intercooler as well and went for a drive. And the leak is gone.
