Fixed a stripped seat thread this morning. The entire thread on the passenger side seat was gone, and only the top three threads would tighten. Still, it was loose and you could shake it out (not to mention safety)...

This can be fixed with a helicoil and a new bolt from Toyota (p/n 90119-10921) for about $2.50. You'll also want an M10 * 1.25mm helicoil. If you go via Bunnings, you want this kit but I acknowledge it's way overpriced and eBay would be a better option.

I used the linked item and I fixed everything very easily with no troubles but the tap tool is plastic. Don't try and force the tap, especially when you reverse the tap when you're trying to break off swarf. You're better off doing fast and frequent rotations to gradually break them (with the linked tool, anyway).

Helicoils have been working great for me thus far. They're also serving as the thread in my intercooler.

Anyway, fixing that thread made way to fit a fire extinguisher in the front passenger seat using this bracket:

I’m Keen on a hose like that, does it have the barb for the blow by hose? And do you think there would be enough length for a 2” body lift?

It only comes with the hose and clamps but in terms of length it is a pretty snug fit so not too sure about the 2 inch body lift. I’d say best to confirm with the seller

Tried to repair what i thought was a leaking rocker cover gasket oil leak, then thought it was a nozzle seal so replaced that. Cleaned it all and then half hour later spotted the oil coming through a crack in the rocker cover......off it! Also bled my brakes and checked rear shoes. Put some radiator flush through then dropped coolant only to try and re fill it and only managed to put 3 litres back in.....now i need to drop it all again and try and get the other 8 litres that didnt make it out. (Didn't keep track of how much came out it was still warm so got the hell out of the way and let it go ). Any hints there? What have i done wrong besides not use a bucket.

Funny thing, I was cleaning out my tool boxes today and got sick of having my fire extinguisher sitting in the canopy so went to the internet and found and order the same bracket you just installed. Good to see it does the job, $65 saved a lot of hassle building one myself! I'll have to be careful to not strip the threads, they mention on the install video that it is easy to thread them.

By the website says that they offer discounts for group buys, not huge but every dollar counts.
