I've had a Mini VCI cable for sometime and thought I'd do a quick review.

Computer O/S:
A PC that runs in Windows XP mode and USB in order to use Techstream. You can also find some tutorial on setup techstream on win 7 O/S in 4runner forum. Once loaded I had access to check OBDII and make programming changes.

Ordering:
Ordered Mini VCI Cable thru , payment made thru paypal. For $34.99 USD the order included 1x 6ft Mini VCI Cable, 1 mini-disc (preloaded with MVCI Firmware and Techstream 7.10.030 Software) and shipping. Vendor sent an email when order Received, Processed and Shipped.

Delivery: Payment made Day 1, Order shipped Day 4, Arrived at my door on Day 14.

mini vci techstream enabled me to access following functions:

Turn off my seat belt chimes for both passenger & driver.
Modify the volumes of several other chimes ie key in ignition
Modify the interior lights
Turn on factory alarm though I did not buy the Glass Breaking Sensor.
Change my two button unlock feature to one button all doors unlock
Change my auto door lock from 5 mph to when shifted into D
...


I had just had myself downloaded and updated to the Ver. 10.00.028

The new version fixed some bugs, which gives me the ability to input my TPMS sensor codes for winter and summer wheel swaps.

Good bye all the work arounds, pipe bombs, expensive and time consuming visits to the dealer tire shop.
