2012-2014 Workshop Manual

Postby kerode on Tue, 20 Jan 2015 5:28 +0000

Hey guys, well I had been needing to get my hands on a workshop manual for the 2012-2014 model to troubleshoot an electrical issue I am having, so I bit the bullet and paid for a digital copy, which is in the same format as the 2005-2011 manual, so I decided I would share it with you guys! Now at first I was bashing my head against the wall trying to get it to work using multiple browsers etc but managed to get it working using Internet Explorer 8, there is some vague instructions and a video included in the rar file, however following those steps using Internet Explorer 11 I wasn't able to get it to work, so I highly recommend you use IE 9 or below, even if you have to uninstall IE from your PC and install an older version! I'm sure some of you less computer literate guys, will have trouble getting it working, so feel free to ask for any advice in this thread and I will help out as best I can. Also once you have the correct browser setup, install the swfviewer plugin that is in the instructions folder! Enjoy

cheers heaps kerode,
to get it to open in the new internet explorer ( for those people running windows 8) open the index as per instructions then when it comes up with the error message right click and go to "inspect element'
this will open the developer tools at the bottom of the page
now go to the debugger tab and select the little hexagon with the pause icon in it, select 'never break on exceptions'
then go to the emulation tab and change the 'document mode' and 'user string' drop down boxes to IE8
youll have to do it each time a new window opens
that got it to work for me without having to run a virtual setup with XP or whatever, im no software guru but if you have any dramas ill try to help,
cheers again kerode

I think I have found a solution/workaround for this -

In majority of the HTML files (but for some reason not index.html), is the following line (usually somewhere within the first half dozen or so lines of code -
"<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge">"

Change Edge to IE8, save and exit. Apply this in particular to top.html & service.html which are both in the pgm folder.

Re-kick Index.html ... hopefully should work for you as it does for me. This currently only works with IE, Chrome just throws up its hands and closes without starting correctly. I'll work on a solution for this later.
Cheers,
Scuba Dooba

fracturedranga's method works but is way to tedious for every window and ScoobaDooba's method didn't work for me but as stated it works fine with IE 8, so I strongly suggest downgrading IE to that version!

I don't want the whole manual, just the electrical schematics but every time I try to get any sence out of this bloody machine I feel like smashing it.

So many questions are asked on here which a 30 second look at a diagram would solve.

I'll have a look tonight and see if I can copy paste it out of the program to word

Edit
Just had a go and no joy, short of screen shorting each image it's a no go using ie8 emulation, maybe someone using ie8 proper might be able to.
However if you run the program it has all the diagrams easy to see and even flashes sections when you click on them. It's a little bit of dicking around to get it to work but it's no that bad and it's alot quicker than searching through a manual looking for a specific wiring diagram :D

best i could do is take some pics of how i get it to work

step 1 unzip the download, i used 7zip which is free from http://www.filehippo.com

step 2 open the folder you extracted it to, you should have this
Image

step 3 double click the file named index, you should get this
Image

step 4 click 'no' on the 2 windows that open then right click on the page, go to 'inspect element'
Image

step 5 go to the debugger tab and select 'never break on exceptions'
Image

step 6 go into the emulation tab and set 'document mode' and 'user agent string' to ie8
Image
Image

step 7 it should now be working, select your year from the tab and click 'service info'
Image

step 8 another window will open repeat steps 4 to 6 and your good to go
Image
Image
Image

have a look through, its pretty easy to navigate through and has all the info and wiring diagrams

hope that helps

was a good try but it worked till I tried to open service info then got the same error and debugger didn't work this time. Only works if it is in explorer and when a new page opens it seems to be back in edge.
win 10 might be different maybe, buggered if I know.

Thanks for trying.

Thanks for sharing this.
I have a Windows 7 PC and IE11
Followed the tips but still have to use those debug options, and doesn't seem to work
Will try to downgrade to ie8 or see what version I have on netbook

Got this working OK on internet explorer 8 and 9,
On IE10 no vehicle info would show up
And IE11 won't install now! Keep getting an error and tried various things to fix it, but no luck
So sticking with IE 9 for now, mainly use Firefox anyway for web browsing.

To avoid clicking the active X prompts each time, you can enter the network address for index.html file, then the browser thinks it's an Internet file not intranet local
E.g. //computer name/directory where files are/index.html

I put the files on my NAS server and access it like that
