We all like/want to lash out on the big ticket items that will enhance our beloved 4WD, but generally can't afford them all, so what can we do in between the big hits to keep the build trickling along or for those wanting to get started in an inexpensive way.

Here's a couple.

Folding back seat
Adjust rear load proportioning valve
Constant power windows

I can think of many many more, but what have you guys got in mind 8-)

Second job, break up with the missus, drop the kids off to foster care, sell the house, become a male escort, etc..

Plenty of options before considering the budget option.....

Ive done the power window and rear seat mods, but what about little things like the following that people have posted mods for -

Seatbelt beeper off
Key in ignition beeper off
Video in on OEM head unit

Then other little "luxury" items I have done
Glovebox light
Front footwell lights
Added USB charging in place of cigarette lighter
USB and power socket for rear seat passengers (dual cab)

etc

There's always something to keep you in the hilux and out of the lounge room !

For those with a tray back and genuine tow bar. Flip the tow bar over, so the tow hitch is on top, to improve departure angle.
Cost: $0

Budget sound deadening. Using stop leak bitumen flashing from bunnings. For $50 you could get enough to do 2 doors.
I've had this in my ute for a few weeks now and there is zero smell and it makes a huge difference to road noise.
Cost: $50
Time: 3 hours
