Hi all
having a wheel alignment issue at the moment.
Hit a roo few weeks ago and in doing so my steering wheel bacame off centre to the right about 10degrees to get the car going straight and left front tyre was leaning inwards on the top half. Traction control and stability control lights came on and stayed on.
took the ute in for a wheel alignment, was then told by them that they couldn't get any camber adjustment. So I replaced the lower ctl arm with a new one including bushes and bolts. Took it back in for a second alignment was now told possible bent stub axle thats why tyre leans in still on top half. Replaced stub axle with new one but same drama still.
Got me scratching my head why the left front tyre still leans in on top half. Anyone come across this before. Vsc and traction lights have gone off steering wheel has also come back to centre. Have been running 256/70r17 on a 2half inch lift for about 3years now with no problems. Only thing left is to replace the upper ctl arm could this have a slight kink in it or worst case chassis slightly damaged. Any input would b appreciated.

You don't have insurance? Don't stuff around with this. Get it on a rack to check the chassis for damage. This could be a hand grenade waiting to go off.

First thing is Id be suspicious of the guys doing the wheel alignment. There's a lot of them out there and there's not many who actually know what they are doing. Who told you to replace the LCA? its pretty solid the stub axle is a known weak spot.
Id be going to someone like Proaxle and getting a second opinion and go from there.

Cant agree more, mine has always had alignment issues but took it to a steering specialist in ardel park, first thing he checked was the track and if the front end was out of square, lucky for me all is good

Its just the sheer fact that the 2" lift on mine is the cuase of it, there is no more negative camber adjustment left in it and it is at its max so if it cops a hit it instantly goes into positive camber,

A little extra toe in keeps it straight but still feels shit in a wet roandabout,

Adjusable UCA,s may be the go,

where are you located? There's a fair bit of information in here about wheel alignments and who to go do in different areas. As Kyle and Shawn have said, lots of people do wheel alignments, but unfortunately, not lots of people actually know what they are doing

will maybe try one more wheel alignment and still if no good I might have to ring the insurance company. I just can't believe hitting a roo would be able to bend my chassis rail.

Agree was the stub axle new?

Did the roo go under the car?

Hit roo on lhf chassis rail area and bounced off forward probly a good 60kg roo

Ive herd of the adjusting pin that rotates the camber disc can bend on an impact, so it will just keep clicking over and wont lock in, if that makes sense.

Im having an issue at the moment where if i hit a bad patch of corrugations my steering gets knocked out of line. I hit a very bad patch going through Rudall river the other day knocked it out of whack bretty bad so stopped through Port Hedland to fix alignment. Then on way from Paraburdoo to Mt Augustus it happened again though i dont remember the road ever being that bad.

Any one got any ideas/advice?
