Another toolbox that slides out from the other side of the car...

Yeah the tank install was great and takes up just wasted space under there. Only had to jack the tray up about 100mm on one side and she slides in between those middle two rails.... perfecto

Excellent! I have the exact same tray and have been thinking about a water tank for a while. Wouldn't mind a second aluminium one that I could fill up and run off a three way valve from the Glind shower set up, so you could flick a switch, turn a valve and by the time you get to camp you have hot water ready to go.

Have a 70litre tank and 32'' spare but no long range fuel tank... id say that the way the long ranger protrudes higher than the original that it might not work

Done.. I want to fit a long ranger eventually so I'm not gonna do it if they both can't be done. I have to cut my drawer box down 50 odd mm..

I have a Boab poly tank and it had a plasticy taste to begin with but washed it out thoroughly and its good now. Pretty sure Boab do a poly tank that fits above the spare tyre. It will make the spare sit down a bit further though, that's what turned me off that idea. I'd have to have a dig to find any info on it but.

hey guys,
Just want to bump this thread into the news feeds again. Im looking for an under-tub tank, curious if there are any new products since this thread was last commented on over a year ago. I've been looking at the 18L one off ebay, looks small but seems like good use of the space. Anyone ever thought about putting 2 under the tub. 1 next to where the first one goes? would it fit?

I had a look at those as well. They seem pretty good but I can't speak. I don't have an eBay account so I can't ask the seller, how do you fill the thing up??

Hey Sinan, funny you say that, here is the correspondence between me and the seller today haha

Dear nxc323,
Could you please tell me how this tank gets filled when installed. Is the outlet on the bottom the only outlet in it?
Thanks

From: nxc323
Dear lundandre,
Yes that is how you fill it. The hose fitting is in the kit supplied ready to go. I run 2 outlets on mine one on either side of the Ute for when the Ute is on a bit of a lean.

and this

Hi mate you fill tank with the outlet hose. Open valve and fill up. There is a breather in top also and there is 2 outlets not shown in pictures as its an older version, will update pictures soon.

Does anyone know if this tank is still available somewhere? I can't seem to find it anywhere. If there's any other new options you guys know of please let me know. Thanks :D

Not the biggest capacity, but it certainly made good use of the small space available. Was very easy to install. Probably longest part was dropping and lifting the spare wheel!
Image
Here's what was supplied. There was supposed to be some foam strips that were supposed to assist in keeping the brackets in place whilst installing. I think I tossed them in the bin by mistake though. Didn't make installation hard by any means. Instructions supplied are more than adequate.
Image
The two white dots are the breathers. Almost looks like cotton wool. Not sure if they will end up getting clogged with dust. Time will tell. You might need to click on the image to see the breathers. My bad cropping ;)
Image
The mounting brackets line up perfectly with existing holes.
Image
Hose adapter that screws into the tank comes with thread tape already applied.
Image
I ended up using an irrigation right angle adapter (not supplied, but cheap from hardware) to get the outlet where I wanted on the tow bar. A few zip ties to lock it in position and job done!

If anyone else is still searching, This is the eBay sellers name for the 15l tank.

nxc323

I notice he hasn't been selling much, but perhaps with enough interest, he may start up again??
I've still got mine and love it. It will be one of those extras I'll be removing when it comes to selling time

~20lt eBay special all for ~$200 plus postage????

Anyone have photos of a decent tank they have successfully mounted under a tub / chassis? 50-70lt would be a good start and something that does not interfere with a future long range tank.

I got rid of the tray and back to a tub so now chasing a product that fits, solid and works. Extra cab too so I have a little bit more room.

Cheers in advance.

Hey mate I have two in my ute but not under tub.

Stainless tank underneath is 36L made by the long ranger.

http://thelongranger.com.au/toyota/hilu ... ent/tw16ss

Very simple and very nice and tidy install (only works with standard tank or their long range tank options.)

The other was a bit of a slap job but works a bloody treat.

I have a generic 80L hanging bladder behind the rear seat.

http://www.fleximake.com.au/Home/EachPr ... aa89fc3f75

Both are currently filled by pressure hose with gravity drain but I do have a water pump I eventually want to install to make it a lot nicer to use.

Both are brilliant on long trips and short. (Stainless underneath gets rather warm in summer so added bonus of being able to use to wash dishes)

Both on a new 2017 dual cab
